Registration

Once the conneQt® Toolbar has been installed, it must be registered with Quicksilva before it can communicate with back-end services. Registration ties the installation to a specific machine using a secure key-pair, and must be completed once per PC by a local administrator.

Quicksilva will provide your registration keys in advance, typically via the conneQt® Platform Support Portal. Have these ready before proceeding.

Note

Quicksilva recommend completing registration immediately after installation to minimise the time a local administrator account is required on the machine.

Registration Data

Quicksilva will provide registration keys consisting of three parts:

  • key part 1 - the first part of the registration key
  • key part 2 - the second part of the registration key
  • organisation code - a code identifying your organisation

Keys can be single-use or multiple-use and will have an expiry date. Your Quicksilva contact will share details, typically via the conneQt® Platform Support Portal, and discuss your preferences when you receive the registration keys.

Note

During registration, a secure key-pair is generated, encrypted, and stored on the local Windows PC. This material is tied to that specific PC and cannot be transferred to another.

Registration Options

The conneQt® Toolbar offers two registration methods:

Method Instructions
User Interface Registration (User Interface)
Command Line Registration by Command Line

Successful registration completes the setup process and ends the requirement for a Windows Administrator account. The next time the conneQt® Toolbar is launched, it will display the login screen via the local patient administration system.

Next Step

Once all registration steps have been completed, proceed to Approval.
