Registration
After installing the conneQt® Toolbar on a Windows PC, it must be registered with the Quicksilva for back-end communication. This one-time registration requires a local administrator Windows user account and must be done on each installed PC.
Note
Quicksilva recommend registering immediately after installation to minimise the local administrator's presence.
Registration Data
Quicksilva will provide registration keys consisting of three parts:
- key part 1
- key part 2
- organisation code
Keys can be single-use or multiple-use and have an expiry date. Your Quicksilva contact will share details, typically via the conneQt® Platform Support Portal, and discuss your preferences when you receive the registration keys.
Registration Options
The conneQt® Toolbar offers two registeration methods:
- Run the conneQt® Toolbar user interface as an Administrator: Registration (User Interface).
- Execute the conneQt® Toolbar .exe via command line as an Administrator: Registration by Command Line.
Successful registration completes the setup process of the conneQt® Toolbar on a Windows PC, and completes the involvement of a Windows user with Administration privileges. The following conneQt® Toolbar launch will display the login screen via the local patient administration system.
Note
During registration, a secure key-pair is generated, encrypted, and stored on the local Windows PC. This material is tied to that specific PC and cannot be transferred to another.
Deregistration Options
Occasionally, deregistering the conneQt® Toolbar from a local machine is necessary to remove registration material from the Windows PC, especially for practice installations or if an installation is blocked by the Quicksilva's back-end services team.
A Windows Administrator can unregister by running this command on the PC:
Qxlva.Toolbar.Client.UserInterface.exe /unregister
Note
You can skip this process when uninstalling the conneQt® Toolbar from a Windows PC, as using the Windows add/remove programs feature will remove the registration key if it exists.
